Frequently Asked Questions

What is padel?

Padel is a racquet sport that was created in Mexico in 1969 that combines elements of tennis, squash, platform tennis, and pickleball. It is played two people vs. two people over a net with the glass walls surrounding the court. The ball is a deflated tennis ball and the serve is cross court and underhand (like pickleball) and the scoring is similar to tennis. Since its founding, padel has become particularly popular across South America and Spain and has more recently spread across Europe, the Middle East and most recently to the USA. There are currently about 300 total courts in the US compared to 10,000+ in Spain and it is currently the fastest growing sport in the world. Padel has been described by many as “easy to learn and hard to master” which we believe rings true and if you try it you will love it.
